WELCOME TO WALLHOPE FARM
We are a small, independent, family run farm. Right on the edge of the Wye Valley, less than 4 miles from Chepstow, South Wales. Paul & Sarah are proud to welcome and share with you, their working farm, high-quality, fresh produce & relaxing holiday retreat!
Overlooking the River Severn, Wallhope Farm is a working dairy farm with more to offer than first meets the eye. Owner’s Paul & Sarah have a long history here and welcome you to this picture-perfect country farm. The spectacular views will take your breath away and you will spot some of the resident dairy cows enjoying this glorious countryside. Wallhope Farm produces its own fresh pasteurised milk with the help of over 200 dairy cows who live on-site.
CARING FOR OUR LIVESTOCK, LAND AND PEOPLE
Here at Wallhope Farm, we have a herd of over 200 beautiful cows, all of which are fed on a grass based system with milking taking place in the herringbone parlour twice a day. We are so proud of our herd of lovely ladies and are fully committed to ensuring their well being in every aspect of their lives, providing them with a happy environment, where they can graze our rich pastures for as much of the year as possible. The farm boasts a stunning view of the Old Severn Bridge, making a visit to Wallhope Farm very memorable.
Our self service vending for milk and milkshakes open at the farm everyday from 7am to 7pm. We’ve named the facility ‘MOO HQ’ which seems quite fitting doesn’t it! Come and see us for some fresh, tasty products. We are also excited to announce that tubs of our mouth-watering, creamy gelato, made here on site, is now available for sale at the farm (alongside our other delicious produce)!
Also, why not take the opportunity to take in some of the most breath-taking scenery in the area and come to stay with us in our ‘Wallhope Retreat’ - we look forward to welcoming you very soon.
A more sustainable future
We love our planet & are always sourcing sustainable local products and thinking ahead about ways we can help our planet. We always try to line dry our washing both for the farmhouse and our holiday accommodation and we endeavour to use our waste water for watering the gardens.
We aim to attract wildlife, and our plan is to plant and manage our trees every year and improve the farm to becoming carbon neutral.
We love the countryside and around the farm you will see bird feeders, bat boxes, bee hives and lots of flowers to encourage wildlife. We often see woodpeckers, swallows and swifts return year on year and we have lots and lots of butterflies and dragon flies!
The heat recovery from the condensers produce hot water and an ice bank helps to chill the milk more efficiently and quickly which mean green energy on the farm.
